My week in 60 seconds... depending on how fast you read.

Well my most recent news (and most exciting... for me anyways) I got to talk to the hubby and will be able to more often! YAY. Also this week, I went to a prenatal class and got to meet a bunch of mommy-to-be's, most of which also have hubbys away right now too. Im not alone, someone understands! I have Eli moved out of the babys-room-to-be and finally cleaned all the bunny stuff out of there. Now its just a matter of washing the walls and finishing on the floor, oh and also cleaning out the closet. Then when the baby is closer to being here, we'll fill it with baby stuff! Hubby came up with 2 names which I both liked at first, now Im not too sure about one of them. I've decided I want to find out what we are having before we have it. All because of baby shopping with my sister and I wanted to buy the cute little girl stuff or the cute little boy stuff. I was in a baking mood yesterday, so I made banana bread (with apple chunks in it MMM) and oatmeal cookies. Thats about all in my lonely house for this week. We'll see whats in store for my doctor appointment tomorrow!

Cant even talk to my husband for 2 months!!

So hubby was sent to California for "training" really hes just doing general duties (ie. cooking). I got a call from him yesterday, for the first time since he left (since Jan 2nd). He called to say that he wont have phone or internet access for the rest of the time hes there. (Till March 1st!). Why is it that family doesnt matter when they are on the same continent but overseas they get way more than one phone call every 2 months... Im still his pregnant wife who could use a moral booster every now and then when hes gone. Being alone is bad enough but pregnant on top of that.... He misses all the appointments and cant even call to see how things went. I just want him home!

This just might be the first and last baby.

So its just about been a full week of all-day-sickness and I HATE IT! I know once the baby is born Ill be so happy and eventually want more but as it stands.... there better be all 3 in there cus I don't want to do this again!!

I've tried digestive cookies, ginger ale, pickled ginger, water, toast, bagels, and soda crackers. Nothing is really helping. After 1/4 of the box of soda crackers, Im not gaging about the thought of food but I dont know how well anything will stay down.

Oh baby Styles, I cant wait till your here, only like 250 some-odd days left.

Finally home!

WE'RE HERE. And we've already seen most of the family (even the ones we'd rather not lol) Already had Indian food and Dim Sum. MMMMMM food other than pizza, donalds or KFC. The ONLY choices Petawawa has to offer.

Enjoying our visit a lot. My nieces are so cute. Vivi LOVES her Uncle Dan. She wouldnt leave him alone yesterday. She cuddled his arm in the car then cuddled him when we got home. Would only hold his hand and gave him lots of hugs and kisses all day. We finally got her to say "Tea-ka" rather than "ke-a-ka".

Vivi still thinks my baby is in my "Duba" (belly button) but at least she gets that its in the belly region. Because Im pregnant, she also thinks everyone else has a baby in their duba, so she goes around pointing at her moms belly and says "mommas baby". Then points at her tummy and says "my baby."

Over exaggerating parents.

I just wanted to touch on this for a minute. I've seen or heard about many parents who freak out over the littlest things wrong with their kids. I do know your child is the most important thing in your life but I mean in a different sense.

Parents these days thinks medicine is the only way to fix their child's troubles. Pains? Tylenol. Fever? Tylenol. Cold? Cough syrup. Slightly infected cut? Hospital. Fever wont go down after 2 hours? Hospital. Cold lasted more than 3 days? HOSPITAL!

When I was a child, if I had a fever, it was no blankets, lots of freezies and popsicles, cold bath, frozen washcloths, and if that didnt work, then tylenol. Mommys bag of medicine was lemon, ginger, honey and vapor rub for colds. (and a funny movie) Some good soap, polysporine and a bandaide for cuts gashes and scrapes. Jello, gingerale cuddles and a funny movie for the flu.

Parents, the only thing to help your child doesnt need to come from a bottle, try alternatives first.

P.S. For nightmares, mommy and daddys bed is the best. At age of 8, it is not however.
(I dont know why my mom got her tubes tied, she wouldnt have ever needed to had she knows I would like her bed better than mine) :D
